Late Beckett Cypher was just 21. He was the son of Melissa Etheridge and her former partner Julie Cypher,

Her Official Twitter handle put out the message on Wednesday afternoon-

“We’re sad to inform you that Melissa’s son Beckett passed away and there will not be a Concerts From Home show today – #TeamME,”

“My heart is broken.”- stated Melissa Etheridge with a heavy heart on Wednesday.

“Today I joined the hundreds of thousands of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction,”

Etheridge wrote on Twitter.

“My 21-year-old son Beckett struggled to overcome his addiction but, finally succumbed to it today.

We, the Family, and friends will miss him dearly.

Melissa sent out sincere gratitude to all.

Melissa sent out sincere gratitude to all those sharing her painful loss by stating

“I am grateful for those who have reached out with condolences and I feel their love and sincere grief,”

One of the singers social media posts read-

“We struggle with what else we could have done to save him and in the end, we know he is out of the pain now.”

the singer conceived Beckett Cypher and his sister Bailey through artificial insemination and a sperm donation from another fellow musician David Crosby.

Melissa Etheridge declared for postponement of all her concerts from the Home Series. the Home Series concerts were gaining much popularity though, The resumption of these concerts would be announced later.
