“Ignition grant” from the US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) to counter-Covid-19 research.

To counter the worldwide COVID 19 pandemic the US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) has come up with the “Ignition Grant” concept.

Under the program, US–India & USISTEF- the governing body decided to support and encourage the out-of-the-box,

innovative ideas from the community to address the Covid-19 challenge.

Under the grant mission, the Indo-USA Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) decided to

grant up to ₹50 lakh “to help early-stage creative ideas develop a proof-of-concept and/

or build a prototype” for the beginner stage.

In the second stage, the support amount will be up to ₹1 crore is on offer to “support a team with a workable,

validated prototype and/or with the ability to repurposing existing innovative solutions to meet the Covid-19 challenge.”.

US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) decided to fund the grant advances in Indian currency.

The whole exercise by the US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF)

is to promote and encourage those involved in counter-COVID-19 research.

The US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) would help all those joint Indo-US entrepreneurs on the mission of-

“developing and implementation of new technologies, tools,

and systems to address Covid-19 related challenges

which will include public awareness outreach, mass communication & information,

The US–India joint Fund (USISTEF) would help mass scale public health monitoring,

it ud also include the COVID19 infection diagnosis & safety.

The primary condition of these research initiatives must also,

be commercially promising in order to be selected for the primary grant.

The last date for sending applications to The US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) has been set for 15^th May 2020.
