History, Significance, and Importance of National Technology Day!

Indian National Technology Day gets celebrated every year on 11 th may.
This National Technology Day signifies with the successful test of Shakti-1 Nuclear Missile in Pokhran, Rajasthan ;
way back in 1988 under the able leadership of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the Prime Minister of The country.
This particular event was the cornerstone of India’s greatest leap towards technological advancement in the global arena.
Indian National Technology Day also signifies with the successful launch of India’s first-ever indigenous aircraft Hansa-3, which were perfectly developed by the National aerospace laboratories.
late President of India & aerospace engineer Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam led the perfect Shakti missile ejection at the Indian Army’s Pokhran Test range in Rajasthan.
National Technology Day- India as the 6th entrant to the “ Nuclear Empowered Nations Club”.
This particular nuclear missile test was the first among those 5 test series which rechristened India’s Nuclear power capabilities.
The then Indian premier visionary Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee later declared India as the Nuclear State.
The launch of Shakti1 nuclear missile also established India as the 6th entrant to the “ Nuclear Empowered Nations Club”,
since then this day of 11th may have been declared as the Indian National Technology Day.
the Indian National Technology Day showcases the strength and capabilities of Indian scientists and technocrats.
Every year the science and technology ministry celebrates this day with a theme of scientific and technological creativity and relevant inquiries.
On this particular day, the DRDO or Indian Defense Research and Development Organization test-fired the Trishul missile.
The concerning science and technology ministry also confers awards to those net worthy individuals and commercial initiatives from the field of science and technology.
