US–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund “ignition grant’ for proposals of “Indo-US Virtual Networks”.
COVID 19 pandemic virtually seized all formal economic ventures worldwide,
and those into Start-Up initiatives are precisely staggered with limited mobility.
Looking at this Lockdown scenario ;
the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) has initiated to end this logjam by intending to promote the Virtual Networking option.
The new social distancing norms across the globe due to the Covid19 pandemic which has handicapped the entire corporate world
including Start-Up initiatives could only be thawed via different approaches towards work culture and method.
Virtual Networking could be one of those solutions; believes the think tanks of Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
And to encourage, promote, patronize such initiatives ;
the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) has come up with a practical patronizing initiative by offering to grant such joint start-up projects ;
which has partners from both the countries the US and India.
“Ignition grant” for proposals of “Indo-US Virtual Networking projects.
Under such initiative, the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) has proposed the “Ignition grant” for proposals of “Indo-US Virtual Networking projects.
However; these proposals are offered in a couple of categories.
Category (A) offers “Ignition grant” up to Rs. 50 Lakh,
which would allow those Indian and US engineers & scientists currently engaged Jointly in
Covid19 related research activities through a virtual mechanism, leveraging existing infrastructure and funding.”
Category (B) offers public-private virtual networks that would help all those Indian and US, scientists
from academic & other industries to join together on all kinds of pre-commercial Research & Developmental activities
having true commercial potency towards requisite research & relevant product development.
For both these categories, The IUSSTF has set the deadline on 15th May 2020 for the final submission of proposals.

Indian Government’s entity The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC),
which is an enterprise of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research,
under the Ministry of Science & Technology, has also launched a separate scheme to support
all those researchers and innovators engaged in the COVID19 research-related activities.
The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) grant-in-aid is offered up to ₹10 lakh to
those Start-Ups for scaling up their lab-scale technologies up to the commercial scale for countering the Covid-19 pandemic.
However; The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) may consider
granting a higher amount for those deserving proposals having a higher socio-commercial impact.
